This happy family of 4 squeezed a photo shoot into their very hectic 3 week visit to South Africa. They literally got off a plane from Cape Town on a Wednesday morning in April, splashed some water on their faces to be presentable for our shoot on Wednsaday afternoon and then jetted out of the country on Thursday. We were lucky enough to have beautiful warm weather as the girls enjoyed their last few hours in the African sunshine.
As is the case with so many families nowadays, the Fagans are spread around the world and are not often on the same continent. Elna, being the family Matriarch, has wanted a big family photo for her lounge wall for several years and when she heard that Mark and Leigh were coming for a visit from the Cayman Islands, she made sure they understood that she was planning a family photo shoot into their stay.
Co-ordinating a family shoot when everyone lives in one place is tricky enough at the best of times………. throw time changes, family schedules and jetlag into the mix and you are bound to get an interesting result!!
After all our planning and schedule checks I am happy to say that “Oumie” (as she is affectionately known) got the results she was looking for. Now she just needs to choose which one she is going to hang on the wall.
It’s such fun being a little girl surrounded by cosmos and a trickling stream.
It’s always a good shoot when everyone involved is up for a few fun pics.
This family was definitely game for a bit of fun!
When I met Carol she told me that this was something she’d never done before! She had been given a gift voucher by a good friend for her 60th birthday and was a bit nervous at the thought of having her pictures taken.
Well – I think that Carol rocked her shoot!!! We had such fun and I think Carol can be very proud of how awesome her shoot turned out!
Way to go Carol!!!
Little boys…………. they always seem to have an ENDLESS supply of energy. Just when you think they have exhausted all their energy reserves, they dig down deep and find another hidden supply!
These 4 little Tykes had me and their mom’s on our toes.
There was definitely not a dull moment in sight and they made sure we knew they where in charge! :p
Friends since they were babies, Lisa and Bronwyn, wanted to capture some special memories of themselves and their boys before Bronwyn returned to Canada, after a long holiday with her family. With rain threatening and unco-operative little boys at times, the shoot definitely wasn’t plain sailing. But I did manage to capture some lovely images of these gorgeous tykes and their mommies.
These gorgeous kids came and had their pictures taken with their mom in the studio at the end of last year. The little boys are twins….and double trouble definitely sums them up!!!
They were so full of fun and giggles….they had us all in stitches.
Mom and dad definitely have their hands full with these cuties!
A fun loving family all round! Thanks for sharing your home with me for our shoot guys!!
I have loved horses since I was a little girl. So when the opportunity arose for me to photograph these lovely sisters at a riding school, I jumped at the chance. The weather looked ominous the entire day and when the girls were late showing up I was certain we weren’t going to make it before the rain came down. But make it we did and what great atmosphere those gorgeous clouds added to my shots.
These two are the cousins of the little girls in my previous post. We photographed all their pictures on the same day – hence the familiar location.
With all these beautiful children in one family, there’s going to be many broken hearts in their wake in the years to come!!
